Why Volunteer?
Let’s Go Fishing Hodag Chapter, located in Rhinelander, WI is all about our volunteers, who are trained and ready to take our guests fishing or cruising on beautiful Boom Lake.
If you know how to operate a pontoon boat, bait a hook, love being on the water, and enjoy helping others you can become part of a two-person Let’s Go Fishing team and take seniors, veterans, and youth on outings. There is always a minimum of 2 adult volunteers on each excursion – one to captain the watercraft and the other to assist. You only need to be 18 or over and be able to assist our guests on the pontoon.
We provide both organizational and on-the-water training for our volunteers. All you need to do is sign up. We encourage husband-wife, father-son, mother-daughter, etc. teams to volunteer as well as individuals who just love the water and fishing. What a better way to spend a couple hours a day then by helping those who have given us so much, while also enjoying being out on the water fishing or cruising?
If you have the heart and desire to help seniors, veterans, and youth, but would rather not be out on the water, you can help in many other ways including – volunteering at parades, lending a hand at fundraising events, giving presentations about Let’s Go Fishing to groups, or any of a number of other jobs that need to be done. Your special talent can benefit LGF Hodag Chapter!
