  • 2026 – Let’s Go Fishing is coming to the Wausau area!  Visit their website or follow their Facebook page for updates on their progress.
  • Several of our volunteers will  be attending the Up North Community Expo at the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander on March 5th. Stop by our booth to learn more about the program, meet our team, and discover how you can get involved.
  • We are looking ahead to the installation of our new Polydock system this spring. Thanks to continued support from Northwoods United Way, we were able to add additional safety railings around the dock, enhancing comfort and accessibility for our guests.
  • 2025 – Thanks again to Rhinelander Community Foundation and Northwoods United Way for their support in helping us purchase a new floating dock system for our operation.  Unfortunately, the parking and streets around Hodag Park were undergoing renovations and we were unable to install the system. But that didn’t stop us from having a great season!  Look for our new dock installation down at Hodag Park in 2026!
  • We held several brat fry at the Trig’s Brat Hut – Rhinelander  again this summer in May, June and July as part of our fundraising!  We’d like to thank everyone who came out to support us by either visiting the brat hut or placed an order for delivery.
  • We participated in various areas at the Red, White & Boom Event at Rondele Ranch in June and look forward to being back there in December for their Christmas Wonderland.
  • 2024 – Thanks to grants from Rhinelander Community Foundation and Northwoods United Way we were able to renovate the seating, deck boxes and flooring on our pontoon in 2024.
  • Metal cup holders that attach to the side railings were added as well as new life jackets.

Other News

  • Our first monthly meeting of the 2026 season will be held on February 27th. Join us as we discuss plans for the upcoming year. Nominations for board positions will take place during this meeting, with installation scheduled for March. We encourage all members and interested volunteers to attend and take part in shaping the season ahead.
